Find A Needle In A Haystack – Facebook Mischief

Using Facebook has been a real challenge over the last couple of years. It seems that companies are spending more and more money to flood the news feeds of users and it’s been a damn nightmare at times. Starting this week Facebook is making a change that will actually help users find their way around and grab the content they want to read.

In the search feature at the top of your feed you will now be able to search for keywords in posts. This is great news because until now the only things you could search for were people, brands and groups. Now if you want to find a picture related to a specific event or check out a news article that you’ve been searching for it’s a simple search away.

It’s great that Facebook is listening to users because this is definitely something that people have been wanting for a long time now. Before this update trying to find your way through the mess of Facebook updates was literally like trying to find a needle in a haystack or hitting the jackpot on a slot machine. Yep, I had to drop in a Vegas analogy since I live here!

From a business perspective this will also be a helpful tool when it comes to joining in on conversations about their products and the marketing possibilities are pretty obvious as well.
